The Player 2015 TV Show

I was so sad to learn that this new TV Show The Player has no future. Looks like pubdits have given so low ratings they have reduced it just to 9 episodes from the original 13 and going to cancel the show. This has happened to so many good shows while boring TV shows getting second chances.

At imdb it has received 7.3/10 which I say pretty decent even thought not great. This is probably the most action packed TV series running at the moment. It has the whole Action Thriller package car chases, gun fighting, hand to hand combat and the rest.

Plot happens in Las Vegas, a former army guy who has becoming a security consultant is forced to take part in this secret million dollar gambling game as the player. There is Wesley Snipes, guy from Blade Movie. He is getting old but still trying to be badass. Also Philip Winchester who did the main role in Strike Back. And Charity Wakefield whom you might have seen in various TV series here and there.

I wish they had given the TV series a chance. The Player would have picked up ratings if it had gotten a full season or  a second season. There aren't many Thriller type TV series airing today.

Keen Eddie TV Series

Keen Eddie TV Series was aired in 2003 and unfortunately it couldn't attract enough audience to go for a season two. The series was canceled by Fox Network and then it was just forgotten. in 2004 they released a DVD with all 13 episodes but this TV series never made much spark. I found the DVD year week while I was checking old TV series and started liking it. I thought it's little bit different from other Action Comedy-Drama but seems not good enough for the fans.

It's a police drama which is very much like Castle series. But unfortunately stories were not powerful enough to keep the interest. The story is basically about NYPD cop who was fooled by a drug lords girlfriend and now sent to English to chase this guy. Now he works with New Scotland Yard and got even a partner there called Inspector Monty Pippin. Strange guy with a funny name. He has shared a flat with flats owners daughter and they are not sure about their relationships. Technically they are archenemies but it seems they do like each other too. Also there is this every ulgy looking dog which likes to chew TV remotes and to do other strange stuff.

I really do like how relationship between Fiona the flatmate and Eddie builds up. They didn't like each other in start and doesn't have a romantic relationship but they are more and more drawn to each other. Also I found all these main characters are quite interesting. They have their own funny personalities which is different from a usual US cop drama. Since this storyline happens in London there's a more British feeling into it.

Also for I think I have become a fan of Sienna Miller who play the Fionas characters. Maybe it's the Fiona character which I like. A beautiful blonde who seems lost and have no idea what to do with her future. She looks selfish it shows she has a good side too. I don't know how she looks these days but  in 2003 she had looked so stunning. You can see from the photo in left.

This ugly dog is a Bull Terrier. It's a medium size dog with a horse like face. A dog with short 9 - 10 years of life span. I think this dog was one star attraction of show and seems the script was made that way too. A dog with dirty feelings for cats (if you get my drift) and also have very destructive habits like chewing things specially remote controls and phones.

I have started watching it again and I released I really love the story. It's not strong on anything. Like terrible murders or serial killers. Even not much of strong romance with among characters. But it's really enjoyable for me to relax and have a laugh. It's a shame that Fox cancelled it. I don't think it's really fault of the show. They were airing it same time of Firefly which used to be massively popular sci-fi TV series. Plus they were airing it in summer when people do more out door stuff then watching TV.

Naruto Manga Ended

 Warning : Too many spoiler alerts.

Naruto is the longest Manga I have ever read. Now they have ended it in 700th chapter. Most stuff they showed in this last chapter are what we expected. I have been reading this for seven years or so. Now I'm going to miss this Manga which I have had read every Wednesday.

I read the Wikipedia page about Naruto and found some very interesting stuff. It seems Naruto was first published by Shueisha in 1999 in the 43rd issue of Japan's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. So this Manga is almost 14 years old.

My favorites charactors in this Manga are Kakashi, Hinata and Jiraiya. Last chaptor shows that Kakashi become 6th Hokage and then resign letting Naruto to become 7th Hokage, Guy who is friend of Kakashi survives the war but now in wheel chair. Naruto has married Hinata and have a Naruto like son and a daughter like Hinata. Sakura seems married to Sasuke and have a daughter but Sasuke is not in villege, no explanation about it. Long group of now retired Hokages are there too. Tsunade is there too along with old guy from stone village. It looks like Author make last chapter kind of in a hurry just to give a happy ending letting everything fans predicted happen.

Star Wars Rebels

Star Wars Rebels latest Animated series from Lucasarts since Desney decided to cancel the CloneWars series. Timeline is 14 years after Revenge of Sith Movie and 5 year before New Hope Movie. It's telling a story which happened before forming of the Rebel Alliance. A group of Smugglers who steals from Empire and fighting against when they can. All main characters are new.

Renegade Jedi padawan has taken a new identity called Kanan Jarrus started a new life as a smuggler. He is the smaller group of smugglers and they mind this force sensitive street boy who join their group after a brief adventure. Also there are alien enforcer Zeb, explosives expert Sabine, and Chopper, the cantankerous droid whom reminds R2D2. Well you can't have a Starwars series without this kinda droid can we ? That's what Pilot episode shows which is called Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion (Here).

I think story line is interesting and Animations are lot better than CloneWars series 3D Graphics. The story showing as an angle which hasn't explored before since none of these characters had been used before in any StarWars universe books or movies. But I'm really sad about cancellation of CloneWars series. They should have finished it before starting this one. I guess Disney wanted something their own than from those old stuff. You can buy the DVD of this pilot episode for $12 or you can watch it online. I hope this series will prove Disney can do something new and good for StarWars Universe.

Forever TV Show 2014

I have started watching this new TV show called Forever. It's a crime drama Sherlock Homes type. The story is about a 200 years old doctor who works in New York morgue. He has been trying to find the reason for his immorality and how to stop it. Now he becomes the side kick of NYPD Detective Jo Martinez to solve hard to solve murder cases and crime. Not sure who is the side kick here since usually he takes the lead in all cases chasing suspects and criminals. Also now he finds out there is another immortal man like him self who has lived over 2000 years.

So far there have been only three episodes but I have already started enjoying this TV series. Stories are pretty good and they solve a different mystery in every episode which keeps the interest. Also He act like our famous detective Homes showing various hits from people and in dead bodies telling details about them and their lives. I don't know about it's ratings but IMBb shows 8.5/10.
